After a fairly uneventful, but educational Sunday (we watched Hoods Woods videos all day), we made it out of the house and into Petoskey. We drove around for a bit and finally settled down by the bay at the waterfront park. We arrived about half an hour before the sun "went for a swim." It was a very pretty night to watch it. The clouds finally disappeared after a very dreary morning and afternoon.
You would never guess what I forgot when we went into town...my camera. So there are no amazing pictures of the sunset. That was fairly disappointing but life will go on for all of us. :P
Tomorrow is back to work...only five more days until another weekend! I do not only look forward to the weekends. Work has been very productive lately and a lot of my outstanding items are finally wrapping up. However, the weekends provide me with the time away from the office that makes life worth living. So yes, I guess I do only LIVE for the weekends. ;) That is going to be my motto for the next month and a half. LOTS of weekend camping and entertainment. I really want to get out and do some hiking too. Even if it is only for an hour or two! Just getting out into the woods is good enough for me.
Again, I need to finish up my knives before this weekend. It is going to take some dedication through the week but I think I might be able to get it done. I need to find an anvil so that I can pound metal out. So if anyone knows where I can find an anvil...leave me a comment. :)
I think that catches you up on today. Have a great evening!
Goodnight from Northern Michigan!
