A quiet evening...

It was a great night for having been a typical Monday at work. I got home a bit late because I was working on one of my bigger projects before leaving. When I arrived the wife had some food ready to head out to the soon to be built campfire. I got the fire going and we put on the hotdogs and a couple steaks. Now...that is how a guy should be welcomed when he gets home. A campfire, steaks, and the tri-pod grill getting hot. Perfect! So I figured I would share a couple pictures of the event since it is exactly what I needed tonight! I think I might start adding pictures back into my blog as the summer rolls to an end.

I worked on the knives a bit tonight. I got the second tempered. I am having a hell of a time getting them sharp though. I have tried about everything. I ground down additional metal along the edge and used all of my sharpening implements to get it rolling. I think I just need a file and a guide. That would help more than anything at this point. So my temper probably is not as good as it needs to be...which will be good when I have to re-sharpen it. ;) I am about to give up on these and try again on new steel...the right steel. I got lazy at this point and stopped taking pictures since it really was not a very impressive ordeal.
I was going to play Mario Kart a bit tonight...but it is getting too late. I will post my friend code soon so that anyone can play with me while I am online. That could possible be the only game I ever need for my Wii. :P Too much fun!
Anyway, that is probably enough for tonight. Have a good one!
Goodnight from Northern Michigan!
